Success stories

The Russian stallion Olympus was my first Grand Prix horse. He came from Russia in 1990 and was very special – in more ways than one. No vet was allowed to touch him which forced me to become half a vet myself! Later on Olympus was sold to Emil Faurie (England) where he was mainly a breeding stallion.

Delikatess

Delikatess

Delikatess, a Russian gelding was my star from ’91 to ’93. I won my first Grand Prix on him and crowned it by winning the German Professional Championships in Balve in 1992. Delikatess was my ticket on to the international level of Dressage competitions.

Widuri

Widuri

The stallion Widuri also came from Russia. He won numerous Grand Prix and most memorably beat top horses Rubinstein and Donnerhall in the Grand Prix Special in Nörten-Hardenberg. Widuri was incredibly kind, reliable, and a very hard worker.

Fariano

Fariano

Fariano was a very special companion to me who still enjoys his retirement in Abbendorf with me today. Fariano’s breeding is rather unusual for a Dressage horse – pure jumping lines Wanderbursch x Wienerwald make up his pedigree and he was a jumper until he was 7. He came to me as a relatively inexperienced 12 year old and was a true challenge. But Fariano turned in to a great success. I have rarely ridden a horse that radiated as much power and pride as Fariano.

Amüsant

Amüsant

The Alabaster descendant Amüsant came to me as a 12 year old. He and I clicked quite quickly, winning six Grand Prix in our very first season together. Amüsant is a very reliable horse in the ring and always eager to please, though he also has a sense of humor and occasionally likes to express his joy over winning in the prize- giving ceremonies.
